Although they sound similar, ‘lonely’ and ‘alone’ have very different meanings. Loneliness is an emotion brought on by a need for companionship, and everyone experiences this in their own unique way. Aloneness however is an observable fact that there is no one around you.
Combat a fear of spending time alone by changing your perspective and remembering that time spent alone won’t last forever. Look for the positives- you can learn more about yourself and get things done without being distracted!
